Sociedad Cooperativa de Producción Pesquera Buzos y Pescadores de Isla Natividad
It has 80 members and is one of the oldest cooperatives in the western Baja
California coast. The cooperative controls extraction, processing, and marketing
of all benthonic fisheries inside its authorized concession around the island.

Sociedad Cooperativa Mujeres del Golfo
This is a unique and exemplary cooperative in the whole region. It was established
by 10 women resident from the Ligüi community inside the Bahía de
Loreto National Park. The women have developed clam aquaculture projects and

Pescadores de Bahía Kino
In Bahía Kino, Sonora, a place aggravated by the "tragedy of the commons", we worked with a group of residents and fishers who want to stop this misfortune. The term "tragedy of the commons" was coined at the end of the 1960s and has helped to better understand the phenomenon driving societies to deplete their natural assets rapidly and uncontrollably.
